10) ONLINE MARKETING

10.1 DoubleClick by Google

This website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google, operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("DoubleClick").

DoubleClick uses cookies to display ads that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports, or to prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times. Google uses a cookie ID to record which ads are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent them from being shown multiple times. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Additionally, DoubleClick may use cookie IDs to track so-called conversions related to ad requests. For example, this occurs if a user sees a DoubleClick ad and later uses the same browser to visit the advertiser’s website and make a purchase. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain any personally identifiable information.

Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Google’s servers. We have no control over the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you to the best of our knowledge: by integrating DoubleClick, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an ad from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google may associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or not logged in, there is a chance that Google will learn and store your IP address.

If you wish to object to this tracking process, you can disable cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain www.googleadservices.com:
(Note: this setting will be deleted when you delete your cookies.)

Alternatively, you can get more information about cookie placement and opt-out options at the Digital Advertising Alliance website:

You can also configure your browser to inform you when cookies are being set, and allow you to decide individually whether to accept them, or to exclude cookies for certain cases or in general. Please note that disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the U.S.-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield," which ensures compliance with EU data protection standards.

10.2 Use of Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

This website uses the online advertising program "Google AdWords" and, within the scope of Google AdWords, conversion tracking provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

We use Google AdWords to draw attention to our attractive offers via advertising on external websites (so-called Google AdWords). We can determine the success of individual advertising campaigns in relation to the campaign data. Our goal is to show you ads that are of interest to you, make our website more appealing, and calculate advertising costs fairly.

A conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on a Google-served AdWords ad. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer system. These cookies generally expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify the user. If the user visits specific pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies therefore cannot be tracked across the websites of different AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Customers receive the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that personally identifies users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can block the use by disabling the Google conversion tracking cookie via your browser's user settings. In this case, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

11) WEB ANALYTICS SERVICES

Google (Universal) Analytics – Google Universal Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your truncated IP address) is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA.

This website uses Google Analytics exclusively with the "_anonymizeIp()" extension, which ensures IP anonymization by shortening it and prevents it from being directly linked to a specific person. With this extension, Google truncates your IP address within EU member states or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. In such exceptional cases, this processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes.

On our behalf, Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide us with other services relating to website usage and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:

Alternatively, especially for browsers on mobile devices, click the following link to set an opt-out cookie. This opt-out cookie will prevent data collection by Google Analytics on this website in the future (this opt-out cookie works only in this browser and for this domain; if you delete your cookies, you must click this link again):
👉 Deactivate Google Analytics

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the U.S.-European Privacy Shield agreement, which guarantees compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

This website also uses Google Analytics for a cross-device analysis of visitor flows via a User ID. When a page is accessed for the first time, the user is assigned a unique, persistent, and anonymized ID that is set across devices. This makes it possible to associate interaction data from different devices and sessions with a single user. The User ID contains no personal data and does not transmit any such data to Google.

You can object to the collection and storage of data via the User ID at any time with future effect. To do this, you must deactivate Google Analytics on all systems you use, such as in a different browser or on your mobile device.

You can deactivate it using the Google browser plug-in:

Facebook Custom Audience via the Pixel Method

This website uses the “Facebook Pixel” of Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Facebook”). If you have given your explicit consent, this allows the tracking of user behavior after they have seen or clicked on a Facebook ad. This method helps evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and may help optimize future advertising strategies.

The data collected is anonymous to us, so it provides no conclusions about the identity of users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, allowing a connection to the respective user profile. Facebook may use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with its data usage policy:

This may enable Facebook and its partners to display ads on and outside of Facebook. For these purposes, a cookie may be stored on your device. These processing activities only take place if you have given your express consent according to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Consent to the use of the Facebook Pixel may only be given by users who are at least 13 years old. If you are younger, we ask you to obtain permission from your legal guardians.

Facebook Inc., based in the USA, is certified under the U.S.-European Privacy Shield agreement, ensuring compliance with EU data protection standards.

To disable the use of cookies on your device, you can adjust your browser settings to prevent cookies from being stored, or to delete existing cookies. Disabling cookies may limit some functionalities of our website.

Our website uses the features of Google AdWords Remarketing to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. This service is provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

For this purpose, Google sets a cookie in your browser, which automatically enables interest-based advertising using a pseudonymous cookie ID based on the pages you visited. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Further data processing only takes place if you have consented to Google linking your browsing history with your Google account and using information from your Google account to personalize ads you see on the web. If you are logged in to Google during your visit to our website, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing. To do this, Google temporarily links your personal data with Google Analytics data in order to build audiences.

  • Right to rectification according to Art. 16 GDPR: You have the right to demand the immediate correction of inaccurate data concerning you and/or the completion of incomplete data stored by us.

  • Right to erasure according to Art. 17 GDPR: You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data if the conditions of Art. 17(1) GDPR are met. However, this right does not apply, particularly when the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, to comply with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

  • Right to restriction of processing according to Art. 18 GDPR: You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data as long as the accuracy of your data is being verified, if you refuse the erasure of your data due to unlawful data processing and instead request the restriction of the processing of your data, if you need your data for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, after we no longer need these data for the purposes they were collected for, or if you have objected to processing based on your particular situation, as long as it has not yet been determined whether our legitimate grounds override yours.

If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for such marketing. You can exercise the objection as described above. If you exercise your right to object, we will cease the processing of the affected data for direct marketing purposes.
